Scattered Sites

The Rockford Housing Authority owns 300 Scattered Site units throughout the City of Rockford. These residences are divided into 2 sections with a manager for each section. The Rock River is the dividing point – Scattered Sites East and Scattered Sites West.

The units are single family or duplex residences blended into the surrounding community.

Transfers from a development to a Scattered Site unit have specific requirements based upon “good tenancy”.

Residents of Scattered Site units assume a higher responsibility for proper lawn maintenance, snow removal, and home care similar to home ownership.
