March 20, 2020

In response to the evolving global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we’re taking additional action steps based on recommendations from our local, state, and federal health officials.

Beginning the Business Day Monday, March 23rd, all offices will be closed to the public, and until further notice, all public meetings and personal contact interactions will be canceled. This includes all internal and external meetings, events, briefings, HQS inspections that are not health and safety-related, work-order services that are not health and safety-related, and resident activities. The Rockford Housing Authority will continue to remain vigilant about the possible spread of this virus through person to person contact.

Where and when possible, all meetings and interactions such as RHA Board Meetings, New Resident Move-Ins, Recertifications, and all similar alike contact, will be organized as interactive virtual meetings online. These virtual meetings will allow you to interact with members of the RHA staff regardless of your location. Using this platform allows the RHA Team to remain productive for the organization while attending the needs of our residents. These virtual meetings are part of our new work structure and will continue until further notice. For those that may not have access to our new platform, conference calls will be arranged.

During this crisis, all management team members and 50% of the frontline RHA team will work remotely from their homes. However,  we will ensure that the entire RHA Team remains accessible to meet the needs of our residents, contractors, and the community.
