Women of RHA Part 3.

The Rockford Housing Authority is thanking all of the women who contribute to the organization’s achievement during Women’s History Month. Because we employ 34 women, have a female Board President, and our CEO is a woman! We understand how important women and their experiences are to RHA. Our female team brings a wide range of skills, ideas, and experiences to RHA, helping us to create a more varied and interactive environment. Throughout this blog, you will see features from each of our women staff in the Support Services, Human Services, Maintenance, and Finance departments.

Support Services

Angel Mackey is the Executive Assistant to Rockford Housing Authority’s CEO, Laura Snyder. Angel has been with RHA for 9 years. A quote that that speaks to Angel is “I have learned over the years that when one’s mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear” by Rosa Parks.

Human Services

The Family Self Sufficiency Specialist for Rockford Housing Authority is Laura Martinez. Laura has been employed with RHA for 7 years and 8 months. “A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset” is Laura’s daily reminder to have a good day as it all starts with her mindset. She may have a long day, but she refuses to have a bad day!

Another employee in the Human Services Department for Rockford Housing Authority is Eunice Beeks-Green. Eunice is a Resident Support Specialist for RHA. She is instrumental in the LifeForce Development Institute as an instructor to residents on their path to self-sufficiency.

Maintenance

Stephanie Penix is currently a Maintenance Trainee/Driver at Rockford Housing Authority. Stephanie has worked for RHA for 6 years. Something that inspires Stephanie is knowing that every day is an entirely new day.

In RHA’s Maintenance Department, Tanya Woody and Linda Theus work as Janitresses. Because of them, RHA is able to function properly and efficiently!

Finance:

Diane Rosin is an Accounting Clerk for Rockford Housing Authority. She has worked with RHA for 3 years and 9 months. Diane tells others and herself “to live life lovingly, and to be passionate in all you do.”

Bernice Voiles is an Accounting Clerk with Rockford Housing Authority. For 3 years, Bernice has been employed with RHA. A quote that inspires Bernice is “Be thankful for what you are now and keep fighting for what you want to be tomorrow.”

Leanne Clark is one of the accountants for Rockford Housing Authority. Leanne has been employed with RHA for 2 years and 5 months. A quote that Leanne lives by is “whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.”

Selina Fan is an accountant for Rockford Housing Authority. For 3 years and 4 months, Selina has been employed with RHA. Selina has always been motivated by the desire to excel at her job no matter what position it is.

Rockford Housing Authority is proud of its diverse workforce, which includes many women in leadership positions. RHA has an advantage in helping to cultivate and grow the Rockford community because of our diverse opinions and backgrounds.
