The Public Housing waiting list generally remains open. When the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) waiting list opens, RHA will give public notice by way of the newspaper, media release, the RHA website, and social media.
Following application submission, you will remain on the waiting list until your name has reached the top of the waiting list and funding is available. It will be your responsibility to notify the RHA of any changes in writing while on the waiting list.

Rental units must meet minimum standards of health and safety and must pass an inspection. The housing unit must be the appropriate size for the size of the household, and the total rent charged by the owner must be within the applicable payment standard for the area in which the unit is located.
The primary purpose of the intake function is to gather information about the family. RHA will also utilize this process to provide information to the family so that an accurate and timely decision of eligibility can be made.
