“I am tomorrow, or some future day, what I establish today. I am today what I established yesterday, or some previous day.” – Jack Joyce
I Am Rockford is a branded alignment for community unity and solidarity designed to spark constructive dialogue on sensitive issues facing individuals who comprise the community of Rockford.
RHA's Resident Service Programs strive to provide Greater Stability & Financial Independence for residents who want to find employment and advance their careers.
We greatly appreciate our partnerships with the dedicated Landlords in our community. Without them, the RHA's goal to expand affordable housing opportunities wouldn't be possible.
RHA provides it's residents and the community with helpful information and resources on various topics ranging from housing guides, RHA policies, community initiatives, health awarness.
RHA encourages Minority Owned, Woman Owned, and Section 3 qualified companies to learn more about our processes, and the various opportunities that Rockford Housing Authority provides.
To continue to create strategic partnerships with community stakeholders, design a diverse housing portfolio, leverage social service programming to unite and ensure residents are provided with safe and nurturing environments that lead to self-sufficiency, responsibility, and individual empowerment.

Rockford Housing Authority and Project First Rate are excited to announce that we will be hosting a virtual Trade Convention on September 30th from 3:00-5:00. Registration will be needed to attend the event, and it is open to all RHA residents and Rockford community members. This is the first year RHA and Project First Rate will be hosting the Construction Trade Convention- Women at Work but we will be making this an annual event!
The Construction Trade Convention- Women at Work is an opportunity to learn from women in the trades such as construction, painting, and electricians and to look at the Apprentice Trainee Positions available. The trades industry is a male-dominated career, but many women still manage, work, and love these jobs. This trade convention is a time to explore jobs that many women don’t think about strictly because they don’t know about them. Some key points that will be discussed:

HUD has allocated 35 of these EHVs to Rockford Housing Authority.
Eligible populations are:
The availability of these Emergency Housing Vouchers(EHVs) is managed exclusively through a direct referral process from the Continuum of Care(CoC)-Northern Illinois Homeless Coalition.
If you believe you may be eligible for EHV assistance and would like to apply, or are currently on the Rockford Housing Authority HCV waiting list and believe you may be eligible for EHV assistance, please contact the CoC within the City of Rockford Human Services Dept. at:
