The Rockford Housing Authority (RHA) is announcing the proposed 2026 Payment Standards for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program. Payment Standards are used to calculate the maximum subsidy that RHA may pay on behalf of families leasing units in Rockford and Winnebago County.
These Payment Standards are updated annually based on the Fair Market Rents (FMRs) published by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to ensure affordability and continued housing choice for participating families.
The comment period is open from October 1, 2025, through October 31, 2025. All comments must be submitted and/or received no later than 3:00 p.m. on October 31, 2025.
