Rockford, IL — The Rockford Housing Authority (RHA) invites residents and community members to attend the upcoming Jobs Plus Hiring Event on Wednesday, November 5, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The event will feature 25 local employers eager to connect with job seekers from across the Rockford area.
The Jobs Plus Hiring Event is part of RHA’s grant-funded Jobs Plus Program, focused on connecting residents with sustainable employment, career training, and supportive resources. The initiative has successfully linked hundreds of residents to local job opportunities, helping strengthen economic stability and growth within the community.
The most recent hiring event, held in May, drew over 200 participants who engaged with employers, training providers, and community organizations — demonstrating the strong local demand for accessible workforce opportunities.
“We’re excited to bring all members of the community, including our residents, together and connect them to employment and resources,” said Nick Bowers, Jobs Plus Program Manager at Rockford Housing Authority. “This event represents how collaboration between residents, employers, and partners continues to strengthen our local workforce.”
