Rockford Housing Authority to Host Community Job Fair on May 28
Free event will connect job seekers with more than 15 employers and community resources
ROCKFORD, IL— The Rockford Housing Authority (RHA) will host a community Job Fair on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 223 S. Winnebago St., Rockford, IL 61102.
The free event will bring together more than 15 employers and community resources to connect residents and community members with employment opportunities across a variety of industries.
The Job Fair is open to individuals of all experience levels and backgrounds, offering attendees the opportunity to meet directly with hiring employers, explore career pathways, and learn about available workforce support services.
“This event reflects our commitment to supporting residents and strengthening our community through access to meaningful employment opportunities,” said Laura Snyder, CEO of the Rockford Housing Authority. “By bringing employers and community partners together in one space, we hope to help individuals overcome barriers, build connections, and take the next step toward economic stability and career growth.”
Employers representing multiple sectors are expected to attend, including healthcare, manufacturing, public service, and other industries currently seeking qualified candidates. Community partners and workforce organizations may also be available to provide additional employment resources and guidance.
The Job Fair is part of RHA’s broader mission to promote economic opportunity, resident empowerment, and community development throughout Rockford.
Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally and bring multiple copies of their resumes.
