The Rockford Housing Authority Administrative Office serves as the organization’s central headquarters, providing access to housing assistance programs, resident support services, and administrative operations. Residents, applicants, landlords, community partners, and visitors can connect with departments including Housing Choice Voucher, Public Housing, Human Services, Development, Finance, and Executive Administration in one convenient location.
The facility also hosts community meetings, training sessions, employment events, and educational programs throughout the year.
The RHA Main Office is open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Holiday closures may affect these hours. Call (815) 489-8500 before visiting if you need assistance from a specific department.
Walk-ins are welcome during regular business hours. Appointments are recommended for housing applications, voucher briefings, lease signings, eligibility reviews, resident meetings, and other services requiring specific staff assistance. Housing applications and waiting-list information are available through RHA’s online application portal. Waiting-list availability can change, so review the current status before applying.
RHA residents may report routine maintenance needs through their property manager or by calling the maintenance line at (815) 489-8736. For an after-hours maintenance emergency at an RHA-managed property, call (815) 489-8585. Residents of Gorman-managed properties should call (800) 494-4150 after hours. Call 911 first for an immediate threat to life or safety.

Follow the payment instructions provided in your lease or by your property manager. RHA does not accept cash. If you are unsure where or how to submit a payment, contact your property manager or call the Main Office at (815) 489-8500 before the payment due date.
