Building Bridges with Landlords

Breanna

At Rockford Housing Authority, strong partnerships make strong communities—and the recent events led by our Landlord Liaison show just how powerful those connections can be.

A Luncheon Worth Remembering

On May 14th, landlords from across our community came together for a special luncheon hosted by RHA. It was more than just a meal—it was a conversation about working together, solving challenges, and building lasting relationships between landlords, residents, and RHA staff. Stories were shared, ideas were exchanged, and a shared commitment to better housing took center stage. Everyone left feeling more connected—and excited for what’s ahead.

Certified Renters: Ready for Success

Another major highlight this spring was the Certified Renters Class, held on April 16th and 23rd. Five individuals successfully completed the program, earning their certifications and gaining the knowledge they need to be responsible, confident tenants. This achievement isn’t just a piece of paper—it’s a key that opens doors to better housing and stronger trust between renters and landlords.

Strengthening Trust, Growing Community

Through events like the luncheon and training programs like the Certified Renters Class, RHA is working every day to build stronger bridges between residents and landlords. It’s about creating understanding, accountability, and real opportunities for everyone to thrive.

Step by step, one conversation and one success story at a time, we’re growing a community where everyone—residents, landlords, and neighbors alike—can feel proud to be part of something bigger.
