PUBLIC NOTICE: ILLINOIS OPEN MEETINGS ACT

The Rockford Housing Authority provides this notice in compliance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/2.02).

In accordance with state law, public notice of all meetings of the Rockford Housing Authority Board of Commissioners and its committees—whether open or closed to the public—is provided as required. Notices include the date, time, and place of each meeting, and agendas are posted in advance in compliance with statutory timelines.

As required under the Illinois Open Meetings Act:

• Annual schedules of regular meetings are posted at the principal office of the Rockford Housing Authority and on the Authority’s website.

• Agendas for regular, special, rescheduled, emergency, or reconvened meetings are posted no later than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting, unless otherwise permitted by law.

• Meeting notices and agendas remain publicly available as required under statute.

For transparency and public reference, a copy of the Illinois Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/2.02) is attached to this notice and incorporated by reference.

Members of the public are encouraged to review the attached document for full statutory requirements governing public meetings.
