The heroes at the center of this story are the seven individuals who enrolled in the December 2025 LDI cohort with a desire to make progress in their lives. Each participant came into the program with different backgrounds, experiences, and goals, yet all shared a common motivation: to take an intentional step toward growth. Their willingness to show up, learn, and participate fully demonstrates a level of commitment that deserves recognition.
The Human Services team played a central and steady role throughout the cohort. Carandus Brown, as the Human Services Manager, provided leadership, organization, and direction, ensuring the program remained consistent, supportive, and aligned with participant needs. Alongside him, Amy Byrd and Breanna Bailey from the ROSS team offered ongoing support, coaching, and meaningful engagement with the participants.
The Lifeforce Development Institute Program is built on a structured and practical approach designed to help participants grow in multiple areas of their lives. The program includes a combination of workforce readiness training, financial empowerment, personal development activities, and goal-setting sessions. Participants learn valuable skills such as resume building, communication, professionalism, time management, and financial planning. They also have access to supportive resources that connect them to employment opportunities, community programs, and future training pathways.
Without programs like LDI, many individuals would continue facing their challenges without access to structured support or reliable guidance. The absence of these resources can lead to stalled progress, limited opportunities, and increased difficulty navigating personal and professional goals.
The next LDI cohort begins in January 2026. Residents who want to build new skills, improve job readiness, or take steps toward greater independence are encouraged to join or refer someone. For enrollment details or questions, please contact Amy Byrd or Breanna Bailey.
