Rockford Housing Authority to Accept Applications for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program
Rockford, IL – The Rockford Housing Authority (RHA) will begin accepting pre-applications for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program on Monday April 6, 2015 at 8:00am CST. The application period will remain open through April 10th at 5:00pm CST. Applications for the RHA waiting list will be accepted online only. Application information can be found at http://Waitlistcheck.com/IL2273. The link will not be available until the application timeframe begins. RHA reminds applicants that registration for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program is free. If you are asked for payment you are not on the correct website. A random-draw lottery system will be used to determine the order of each submitted pre-application on the waiting list; a maximum of 2,500 pre-applications will be drawn. If you are chosen in the lottery, you will be notified via postal mail no later than May 31, 2015. Any disqualified and remainingapplications not selected will be discarded with no further notice. If you do not receive a letter by May 31, 2015, your pre-application was not drawn by lottery and you will not be placed on this waiting list. Each RHA property has a computer lab for access to applicants who don’t have access to a personal computer. All RHA computer labs will be open Monday – Friday from 1-5 PM CST, April 6th-10th.]]>
