Rockford day or 815 day is celebrated on August 15th. the day aims to celebrate the people, places, and things that make Rockford unique. This year is a little different in the case of the city encouraging residents to celebrate the entire weekend; from Friday, August 13th through Sunday, August 15th.
Rockford Day is a day to enjoy the city you reside in. Shop local, visit a restaurant downtown, learn the history of Rockford, or take a nice river walk through Sinnissippi. Many businesses in the Rock River area are holding events / specials on August 15th. Here are a few to check out this weekend!
Rockford City Market: Friday, August 13th; Selfie station with Rockford Leaders and live music!
Village Green Home and Garden: Sunday, August 15th; Half price on all plants!
Anderson Gardens: Sunday, August 15th; discounted admission for $8.15 a person!
Barnstomer Distillery: Grand opening! Food trucks on Friday August 13th, and the release of their limited-edition whiskey on Sunday, August 15th.
Dunkin’: Get a free donut with the purchase of a large hot, iced, or frozen beverage. Also, buy one get one free medium hot/iced coffee all day Sunday, August 15th.
