A STORY OF CARE, CONNECTION & COMMUNITY
May has always felt like a season of renewal. Flowers bloom, days get brighter, and hope grows right alongside them. At N. Main Manor and Olesen Plaza, this hope isn’t just in the air—it’s in the way we care for each other.
Our Resident Service Specialist (RSS) looked around and asked, “What do our residents truly need?” The answer wasn’t just one thing—it was many. Connection, health, food, celebration, and understanding. And so, a plan was made—not just a schedule, but a story we would write together.
IT STARTS WITH CONNECTION
When Ms. Davis on the third floor mentioned she couldn’t keep up with her grandkids on video calls, we listened. That’s why Xfinity is returning on May 14 & 21, bringing internet and cable solutions straight to our doors—ensuring no one misses a moment with loved ones.
HEALING CLOSE TO HOME
Mr. Thompson hasn’t had time to visit a clinic in months. Now, he doesn’t have to. On May 16, OSF Mobile Health brings medical care right into Olesen Plaza—no long rides, no waiting rooms. And for the residents feeling overwhelmed, NAMI is opening safe spaces for healing and support on May 12 & 27. Sometimes, just talking can change everything.
CELEBRATIONS & SUPPORT THAT MATTER
This month, we celebrated our mothers—the heartbeat of many homes—with tokens of love and moments of joy. And yes, our fathers’ time is coming too. But our support goes beyond holidays. Midland Bank will be here on May 29, offering guidance on money matters, while the Northern Illinois Food Bank returns on May 23 to ensure no plate goes empty.
YOUR STORY IS OUR STORY
Every resident’s journey matters. Whether you’re navigating life alone or with family, know this: we’re walking beside you. So, check the bulletin boards, stop by the office, or simply say hello—we’d love to talk. Let’s keep writing this story of care, together.
