A quality home is the foundation of society & community
The Rockford Park District along with many valued partners such as State of Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Rockford Housing Authority, Community Foundation of Northern Illinois, and the Boys & Girls Club of Rockford came together on Saturday, September 30, 2017 for a dedication ceremony to celebrate the completion of enhancements made to Sabrooke Park.
Installed in 1999, the playground was due for renovations and has been relocated to 2900 Kishwaukee Street Rockford, adjacent to Orton Keyes and the Boys & Girls Club of Rockford-Orton Keyes Unit. Renovations to Sabrooke Park began in Spring 2017 and include:

To continue to create strategic partnerships with community stakeholders, design a diverse housing portfolio, leverage social service programming to unite and ensure residents are provided with safe and nurturing environments that lead to self-sufficiency, responsibility, and individual empowerment.
