Strength in Service: RSS 2025

The heart of RHA is our residents’ families, seniors, young adults, and individuals working every day to create stability and opportunity. Their resilience drives our work. Whether they’re navigating benefits, building new goals, or overcoming setbacks, our residents show determination that deserves acknowledgment.

Many residents face real challenges:

  • Confusing benefit applications

  • Difficulty accessing healthcare or mental-health support

  • Limited transportation

  • Feeling isolated or unsure where to turn for help

When these challenges pile up, it becomes easy to feel stuck. No one should have to face that alone.

This year, Yolanda and Darrel continued to be a steady source of guidance for residents.

  • Yolanda expanded partnerships that connected residents to mental-health services, healthcare providers, and community programs.

  • Darrel provided hands-on support, ensuring residents received help with paperwork, benefits, appointments, and follow-up care.

Their work mirrors the tone of care seen throughout RHA — not just providing resources, but truly understanding each resident’s story and walking alongside them.

Resident Support Services followed a simple but powerful plan throughout 2025:

  1. Listen to the resident’s needs and concerns

  2. Identify the right partners, programs, or resources

  3. Assist with applications, documentation, and next steps

  4. Follow up until the resident feels secure and supported

This approach ensured that residents didn’t feel overwhelmed by systems or alone in their challenges.

Because of Yolanda work:

  • Residents accessed vital benefits like healthcare, SNAP, and Social Security

  • More individuals were connected to mental-health and wellness resources

  • Families experienced clearer pathways to stability

  • Community partnerships strengthened the support network available at RHA

The biggest success wasn’t just in completed applications it was in residents feeling heard, respected, and supported.

If residents didn’t have access to RSS guidance, many would face missed deadlines, lost benefits, or long periods without essential care. Isolation and uncertainty could grow. Support matters  and this team ensures our residents never have to navigate these systems alone.

As we close out the year, we extend heartfelt thanks to Yolanda Anderson and Darrel Lewis for their compassion and dedication. Their work has strengthened our communities and brought comfort, clarity, and stability to countless residents.

To our residents, thank you for trusting us, sharing your stories, and allowing us to walk alongside you.

RHA remains committed to partnership, service, and community as we look ahead to 2026. Together, we continue building a stronger, more connected future.
