The 2016 Good Neighbor Award goes to – Mary Jo Powers, a caring and compassionate neighbor

The Good Neighbor Award recognizes an individual or agency going above & beyond the normal efforts to improve a neighborhood, engage residents, and build unity. Last year in the midst of an emotionally charged battle on housing, a resident of Newtowne rose up & spoke up. She has shared her stories and challenged neighbors to bridge gaps and not create division.

This year’s winner joins the well deserving list of community winners like: 2014’s – ORCHiD Neighborhood Association and 2015’s – West Gateway Coalition’s leadership James DeVoe/Robert Esmond, The 2016 Good Neighbor Award goes to – Mary Jo Powers, a caring and compassionate neighbor in the Newtowne Neighborhood.
