Thank You for Joining Us at the 4th Annual Women of Influence Event

"Empowering Voices in Healthcare Leadership"

RHA wants to express our sincere gratitude to all who joined us at the Women of Influence 2024 event! The insightful discussion was truly inspiring. Our panelists are dedicated to driving change in the healthcare sector. The conversation highlighted the experiences of women in healthcare, exploring their obstacles, significant contributions, and the diverse opportunities present in this vital industry.

The passion and motivation displayed by all attendees were truly remarkable. It was evident that each person present was dedicated to improving not only their own health but also the well-being of others. As ideas were exchanged, and experiences shared, there was a sense of empowerment and unity among all participants.

The discussion covered not only women’s rights and resources but also the importance of shifting your mindset toward health in a positive way. Orlandra Caldwell, a Family Nurse Practitioner, emphasized viewing your health and body as tools rather than chores. The panelists represented various healthcare professions, including nurses, educators, and those advocating for a holistic approach to health. Mental health was given equal importance alongside physical health. When asked about a universal tip to enhance mental well-being, all panelists agreed that self-care is paramount. They highlighted that self-care methods vary for each individual, whether it involves blasting music while driving, enjoying a relaxing bath after work, or simply ensuring you stay on top of your hydration – all these small acts contribute positively to one’s well-being.

Another key point raised was the importance of seeking support and not being afraid to ask for help when needed. The panel emphasized that vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness, and reaching out to loved ones or health professionals can make a significant difference in one’s overall well-being. Taking care of ourselves is not just a luxury, but a necessity. It is essential to listen to our bodies, minds, and hearts, and to give them the attention and care they deserve. Panelists emphasized that whether it’s through regular exercise, healthy eating, mindfulness practices, or simply taking a moment to rest and recharge, investing in our well-being pays dividends in our overall quality of life.

As we reflect on the impactful conversations and insights gained during the event, we are reminded of the importance of prioritizing our health and well-being. Laura Snyder, RHA CEO stated in her closing remarks, “Let us be reminded that the women that inspire us every day and work so hard every day, should not only be recognized this month. It should be all day, every day because we work tirelessly to be mothers, daughters, aunts, cousins, and to be bosses, and be inspirational. But we can’t do any of that if we don’t take care of ourselves.”  In conclusion, the discussion highlighted that cultivating a healthy mindset, practicing self-care, and seeking support are essential components of maintaining a balanced and thriving mental and physical health.

Let us carry forward this momentum and inspiration, continuing to support and uplift one another as we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare. Thank you once again to all who joined us at the Women of Influence 2024 event – together, we can create positive change and make a lasting impact in the world of healthcare!
