A quality home is the foundation of society & community
The Rockford Annual Chamber of Commerce Dinner: The RHA Leadership Team members, including Laura Snyder CEO of the Rockford Housing Authority, Odessa Walker Director of Human Services, and Laura Martinez, Family Self Sufficient Specialist attended the annual event. The keynote speaker, Hannah Ubl, Co-Founder of Good Company Consulting, shared insights with the audience on ways to focus on workplace culture. It included organizational tips and ways to better communicate to make staff feel motivated about coming into work the next day.
Odessa and Laura learned about ways to make the workplace environment more productive and how to have better communication skills.
Chamber of Commerce annual dinner was filled with great discussions and great food. It was an evening that left you feeling encouraged, connected,and enlightened. The highlight of the evening was an award that was presented to Gary Anderson. This award ‘Citizen of the Year’ acknowledges an individual that has made a lasting contribution to the progress of our community. Congratulations to Gary Anderson!
To continue to create strategic partnerships with community stakeholders, design a diverse housing portfolio, leverage social service programming to unite and ensure residents are provided with safe and nurturing environments that lead to self-sufficiency, responsibility, and individual empowerment.
