What is RSS? 

Think of a RSS (Resident Support Specialist) like your personal guide to getting the help you need. Their job is to make your life easier by connecting you to important services in your community.  

Whether it’s help with food, transportation, health services, or even getting access to the internet, your RSS is there to make sure you get the support you deserve. 

They work with trusted organizations like Humana and Zing Health to make sure you’re not alone in facing life’s challenges. Instead of spending hours searching for help, your RSS does the work with you! 

Your RSS has a whole network of partners who provide essential services to improve your daily life. Here are some of the biggest ones: 

• Northern Illinois Food Bank – Making sure your pantry stays stocked with fresh and healthy food. 
• Xfinity Essentials – Helping you stay connected with affordable internet services. 
• Rockford Public Library – Giving you access to free books, job resources, and learning programs. 
• NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) – Providing mental health support when you need someone to talk to. 

Important Date! 

Need food? Mark your calendar for February 28, 2025. Food will be distributed at both North Main and Oleson Plaza. Your Resident Support Specialist will be there to make sure everything runs smoothly and that you get the food you need.
