We are Proud to announce The Grove at Keith Creek

“There is peace even in the storm” ― Vincent Van Gogh, The Letters of Vincent van Gogh. This quote could not be more appropriate on that rainy day, as we gathered to break ground for what many deemed “a controversial project.” From the concept of “Newtowne” to that morning, we as a community certainly experienced our share of storms. Yet, every time it seemed the clouds would gather and thunder would rise, commitment would deepen, a bright shining sun would emerge and peace prevail. As we broke ground this was no different… the clouds formed and some rain fell, threatening to keep us away from the work we knew we must do.

As in each case before, as the storm gathered momentum, we gathered strength and perseverance to fuel our commitment to providing high quality housing for our community’s low income residents… and the storm moved on. I found peace in that moment and in the many storms before, knowing that love and kindness would produce homes that will be a platform of opportunity and a shelter from life’s storms.

On this day, amongst a grove of trees and gathering of friends along the edge of Keith Creek a stronger commitment emerged; a commitment to put in the past our differences and move forward with more vigor, more excitement and more compassion. On this day, the Grove at Keith Creek emerged.

We are proud to announce The Grove at Keith Creek, 49 high quality affordable homes developed in partnership with Gorman and Company and Bridge Rockford Alliance, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of the Rockford Housing Authority. The Grove will become home to many Fairgrounds Valley residents in the spring of 2017.
